The client, eMerchant Broker, based in Los Angeles, is a leading provider of credit card merchant services. With its extensive network of banks, payment service providers, independent selling organizations and aggregators, the company is a one-stop shop for payment processing. The client’s services are mainly for high-risk businesses such as collection agencies, adult websites and high volume merchants.

Business Requirements

The client was working with a team of developers for software upgrades, enhancements and maintenance. Due to project delays and issues the client was experiencing with the existing team of freelancers, the client was on the lookout for a new team. With the help of the new team the client wanted to implement a simple and secure contract signing process with digital signatures, and replace the existing paper-based contract signing process. The traditional paper-based process was obsolete and cumbersome, as it required printing, faxing or mailing of the documents and awaiting the return of the signed documents, before the service initiation.

Solution

We assigned a dedicated team to work on client's projects. In the beginning, the team worked on resolving the outstanding issues related to the client’s OFBiz application, and communicated almost on a daily basis using task management tool. After becoming more familiar with the client projects, the team worked on more complex projects such as Digital signature integration using Docusign application with current system to facilitate digital signatures for e-Merchant Broker projects. A project manager, along with a team of engineers and developers was assigned to the projects.
